If you’re reading my blog, then you know I’m passionate about entrepreneurship and becoming a better entrepreneur. Through my education and experiences as an entrepreneur, I’ve picked up some knowledge that I share with you here, but my knowledge pales in comparison to the advice that’s given on the seven blogs that I’m about to tell you about.
These blogs cover various areas in business, but if you read them on a consistent basis and take action on the advice given, you’re sure to become a better entrepreneur yourself.
Here they are:
1. Blog Maverick
Blog Maverick is Mark Cuban‘s personal blog. Mark doesn’t have a specific topic that he focuses on; he shares his thoughts on entrepreneurship, business, sports, politics, and more. I love the Mavericks, and I love entrepreneurship — so his blog is the best of both worlds for me. (Check out my Mark Cuban compilation of great blog posts here.)
Andrew Warner‘s Mixergy provides ambitious people with valuable interviews (mostly audio) that Andrew has conducted with experienced entrepreneurs, such as Timothy Ferris, Gary Vaynerchuk, Neil Patel, and many more. The interviews are great because you can learn exactly how these successful entrepreneurs built their companies.
If you’ve read Keith’s book, Never Eat Alone, then you know how valuable Keith’s advice is. After I read Never Eat Alone, one of my thoughts was “Why didn’t they make us read this book in business school?” — and proceeded to order my brother — who was in between his first and second year of his MBA program at USC — to read the book immediately. Keith’s blog provides everything you need to know about networking and building the relationships that are just so crucial to business success.
Chris, the author of the NY Times bestseller Trust Agents, is a big name in the world of social media. While much of the content on his blog focuses on blogging and social media, he also provides great information on “humanizing” business. Check out his “Best of” blog posts here.
5. Quick Sprout
Quick Sprout is Neil Patel‘s blog. Neil is an SEO expert who has founded two Internet marketing companies, Crazy Egg and KISSmetrics. On his blog, Neil offers SEO tips as well as valuable business advice that he’s learned as a young entrepreneur.
6. Both Sides of The Table
Mark Suster is currently a General Partner for a VC firm in Los Angeles, but he was previously an entrepreneur who built — and sold — two companies. Because he’s been both an entrepreneur and investor, he provides a unique perspective that you can definitely learn a lot from. He covers topics that range from entrepreneurial advice to raising money.
Like Neil Patel, Yu-Kai is another young, ambitious entrepreneur (he’s the founder of RewardMe and Viralogy) who offers helpful and practical advice on his blog that can help you become a better entrepreneur. In addition to his blog posts, he also provides a great library of information for entrepreneurs here.
