A Blog Post that Has Nothing to Do with Business… Dallas Mavericks, 2011 NBA Champs!

If you know anything about me, then you know that I’m a deranged passionate  Dallas Mavericks fan whose career ambition in life is to own the team.   As much as I love business and entrepreneurship, I love the Mavericks more.

About two weeks ago, we (and I don’t say “we” lightly here… I feel like I played in the playoffs because of the emotional ride of the entire playoff run) finally won the NBA championship for the first time.

After going through all that we’ve gone through in the 1990s (being the worst team in the league) and heartbreak in the playoffs in the next decade (losing to Miami in the 2006 Finals, becoming the first #1 seed to lose to a #8 seed in a best-of-seven series in 2007, etc.), winning the championship the way we did this year — bouncing back against Portland after blowing a 23-point lead in Game 4; sweeping the Lakers; making huge comebacks against Oklahoma City; and getting “sweet vindication” (Jason Terry’s words) against America’s Most Hated Team, the Miami Heat in the Finals – was simply amazing.

To commemorate the championship run, I’ve decided to halt all talks of business and entrepreneurship on my blog for the time being… and instead, I’ve created a massive compilation of great Mavs articles, videos, and so on from this season’s playoff run, Finals victory, and celebration.

I’m going to keep on adding to this compilation as I find more good links.  Please let me know if you see anything good that I’ve missed!
